    The Business Support Programme

Via the accreditation held by our principal, we are linked to an an international organisation called the Institute for Independent Business - or IIB for short.

The IIB is an accreditation and affiliation organisation for business consultants specialising in meeting the needs of small and medium sized businesses.  Currently there over 3000 IIB accredited associates thoughout the world, and over 100 in Australia.  IIB Accredited associates are drawn from a very wide range of industry backgrounds, but will almost always have had previous experience at senior level as a Director or Managing Director. IIB Associates work together to deliver help and assistance to small and medium sized businesses via a package called the Business Support Programme.

It’s often a fact that running your own business can be a lonely process, owner managers are so often right at the ‘coal face’ of their business and simply don’t get time to stand back and take stock of their business, assess where it’s at, decide where you want it to go and assess how this all fits with your own objectives in life.  It’s also a fact that as a business grows it’s managerial needs also change – the skills that make for a great start up entrepreneur are subtly different to those of managing and running a growing business and many owner managers find these changes challenging and sometimes difficult to come to terms with.  Equally as your business grows you will find that you face different challenges and will need assistance with a range of more specialised issues, such as finance, staff management, systems and procedures etc.  Or maybe there is a specific strategic direction that will need specialist help, such as Franchising your business.

So who do you turn to for this kind of help and advice?7

This is where the IIB Business Support Programme (BSP) comes in. As a BSP client we will work closely with you to identify the specific needs you have to help you grow and develop your business. Our role is then to assist you with the specific needs that have been identified. From time to time we may identify more specialist needs in certain areas and we can then call on one of our colleagues from within the IIB network who has the specialist expertise to assist with these needs.  Essentially by becoming a BSP client you effectively get access to a large and powerful network of experienced business executives ready and able to help and advise you. We, like all IIB accredited associates, stand by the IIBs motto of providing Practical Advice that works’.
