  • How the Business Support Programme works

BSP arrangements can be structured very flexibly based on your defined needs.

2Generally, the service is based on 192 hours per year of consulting. This equates to two days a month. As part of this we would look to meet with you at least monthly to discuss with you current issues and matters of concern to you in your business along with plans and development options.

There would then be specific areas of activity that we have agreed on and will work on, the precise nature of these will of course be defined by the needs analysis and strategy we put in place. In many cases this work would be done by us within the two days a month, sometimes we may call in another IIB associate to assist in more specialist areas - in all cases you will be fully aware of who is involved and what we are working towards.  If a more detailed or complex requirement may arise then it may be appropriate to go over the normal two days a month allowance and some additional costs may need to be agreed, but this will never be exceed the agreed normal number of days per month without your prior agreement.

In between the times we are meeting you face to face, we are on hand at the end of the phone for those moments when you need to bounce a quick idea, check on something we last discussed or even (worst case) get some advice in a crisis. If we can help you with a specific issue in one quick phone call, then that is treated as free of charge general support and not taken from the usual time allowance.

Some clients like to extend the BSP service to three or more days a month, some smaller clients find that their needs can be met in just one day a month. The essence of the BSP is that is tailored to meet your needs, and ultimately is in line with the IIB philosophy of providing Practical Advice that Works’.
